Greetings Minions

It’s come to my attention from my lovely wifey, and my own interactions, that there are some – issues – with communication through the site when it comes to the chat feature I have featured. Now, many visitors come by and I don’t know if any of the subscribers have tried to contact me through the chat box or not, expecting a response, but I have found that if I’m not readily available to reply and when I do come back to find the message later, there is no email left to be able to answer any questions asked.

I do have it noted on the chat box that if you want a reply, to include your email. I do work and am more often than not marked ‘away’ and even when I am ‘free’ to chat, I forget to change it to available. I’m human.

So, please, please include your email in the chat box if you want a reply from me if I’m not able to see your message when you are online on the site. I do want to respond to your questions, even if they may come a week or a month later.

In any case, I’ve decided to answer the unanswered questions now. Buggy believed there to be more, but nope! (She actually made me write this post.)

Q: I was trying to figure out if Neon Light is complete, I see you have 1 more chapter here than ffnet

A: Both ffnet and this website have the same amount of chapters.

Q: When will chapter 7 of Neon Light be available?

A: I’m a very busy girl. I don’t have time to sit down and write as much as I want to as I have a job. However, you may have noticed that lately I’ve been trying to finish my WIPs! The most recent one I finished was Taigai! Writing is hard, yo!

Please allow me to work on what I am working on, be patient. Trust that Neon Light will be finished eventually, but other projects take precedence.

Q: When will [STORY NAME] be updated?

A: It would be grand if people would stop asking me this. Did you know that for a writer, this is a very unproductive question and it actually doesn’t encourage the muse, at all? I point you to the answer to the question above. In fact, I’ve gone on record on my facebook feed saying that the more I’m asked this question, the more reluctant I am to work on said story.

Q: Check this out! [insert link to fanfic you wrote, a pimp, a contest]

A: Yeah, no. Please don’t leave pimps or recs in the chat. It’s not what it’s designed for. If we’re talking on facebook, talk to me there and ask me first if I want to check things out.

So, in closing, if I’m taking a long time to update, its not for lack of trying. I’m either fucking busy, I’ve been sick, or busy dealing with sick family or work. My life does not circle around writing and readers. I haven’t forgotten about my followers, which is why I have the chat feature on my WordPress so that I can try to stay engaged and let you know that I am here. It has an accommodating app for my cell phone, but again, I forget often to turn off the ‘Away’ or ‘Do Not Disturb’ options for when I need sleep or when at work.

So again, what am I asking of you? If you decide to message me on MeekoTales, please make sure you include your email address on the chat form so that I can reply if I don’t catch you during your active visit. I can reply later to your email to follow up on any comments or questions you left me.

Do I have any more grievances? Not at the moment. If I think of anymore, I’ll save them for another ranty post. I REALLY hate making posts like these and prefer saving comments to weave into update announcements. Anyhow, here’s a gif of Oliver to drool over…
