Going back to one of the first fandoms I wrote for (not NCIS), but Stargate Atlantis. The show had a great cast until Season 5 when the writers and network gave up for Stargate 90210 in Space. Still can’t get that 2 hours back of my life from the first episodes. I mean – who the fuck introduces your main characters screwing in a broom closet and expect to take them seriously?

Anyhow, *deep breath*, back to Stargate Atlantis. My opinion is that Aiden Ford was severely under appreciated in the series. I think mainly because he was just such a utility character as John Sheppard’s right hand, that the writers didn’t know what to do with him. When they had him infected and dependent on Wraith blood, he certainly got more interesting. He basically went native in the Pegasus Galaxy that his new connections could have been extremely beneficial to the expedition and Weir’s constant doubting of him. Although when he snuck drugged food to the team’s meal would bring doubt, he always had the best intentions for his former family. The competitive dynamic and/or animosity that could have been built between Aiden and his replacement, Ronon Dex, was a lost opportunity.

I still don’t care for Elizabeth Weir. To me she was the equivalent of a saltine cracker. I was glad she left the show.

However….
It does give me some new shippy or crossover vibes. *runs to discuss with Buggy*
