This post is going to be slightly ranty, and personal. There is fanfic stuff included. Don’t fret!

Things are getting pretty busy with work because of the holidays. Not like my hours are going to be picking up any. It’s just that it feels busier, which means I’m tiring out earlier as well. That coupled with some new recurring pains that are getting in the way of writing is being a real – well, pain.

Today, I had planned to write while at work, but it was busy. I just wanted to smack customers. It’s Sunday after all. Go away. But anyway, I did my job. I also was in pain. I don’t know what I did, but my arm hurt like hell. I was using my lab coat, buttoned up to where I could rest my wrist inside like a sling. I was really pathetic. I had hoped to stay in, do nothing but write yesterday. My last day of a three day weekend. However, my uncle kept insisting that I go with him for a drive. I didn’t want to go, obviously. But he eventually made an offer I couldn’t refuse by spotting me the $100 or so that I was planning on spending this coming Friday (after payday) for the pets’ new tags (Christmas presents) and stocking up on pet food. I still have to make the trip to the store for my rats’ food because for some messed up reason, I can only find the brand of food for $3 in the one store while everyone else has it for $15.

Moving on…

Since when is being concerned by one’s safety a crime? My grandmother’s driving privileges with the car had been taken away this summer by my uncle. It’s in his name, he pays the insurance, etc. He has final say. She had gotten in numerous accidents this year. She crashed and totaled one car back in February at church, trying to park it. She had gotten distracted by her lady friend talking and not paying attention by hitting the gas pedal instead of the brake. The result? She required surgery on her ankle because she got a compound fracture and ended up in the nursing home for therapy.

SAMSUNGIn August, the day we put our senior pup to sleep she decided to take the car to the Walmart around the corner from our house. Again, not paying attention to things around her (she was by herself in the car but claimed she was upset from my mother riling her up from earlier) she ‘misjudged’ the right side of the car and side swiped a brand new Mercedes SUV. Mind you, she had previously hit a parking pole on the same side at the Walmart I work out, ‘misjudging’ distance. She clearly has depth perception issues that she has self admitted.

ONE WEEK LATER, my mother and I are in the car, driving home with her, not only is she fucking around trying to shove candy at us to eat that none of us want while she is driving and we’re yelling at her to pay attention to the road and stop playing, as she is parking, she had the car in neutral, not pushing the control all forward. Instead of pushing it ONE MORE to reverse, she pulls it back into DRIVE and presses on the gas pedal HARD. We rear end the Nissan SUV parked in front of us. I threw the door open to get out and inspect the damage to the car.

This angle isn’t so bad…

The damage was all from the tail hitch of the SUV. The truck itself sustained nothing.
I ended up on my knees in attempt to ward off an anxiety attack. She hadn’t even left the car yet and see just how badly she fucked up. She called my uncle and told him it was only a tap. It took me a full half hour to calm down as I went inside to avoid going ballistic on her out on the street. I called him and told him really what happened and that was when he said no more.

Since then she has been like a teenager sneaking out with dad’s keys. I’ve taken hers, and she’s been taking my grandfather’s that he refuses to give up even though he doesn’t drive at all (voluntarily as he almost had an accident himself due to his own declining vision). She has gotten to the point that she is making excuses that someone else is taking her out when we are away.

For instance…as I mentioned, yesterday, my uncle and I took a road trip for the day. Since we were out for a large portion of the day and she knew we weren’t expected back any time soon, she took the car out. In case we called, she had made up the excuse for my grandfather to tell us that a family friend took her to the store. We believed her until this morning when I got in the car to go to work myself and the steering wheel and seat were adjust to her fucked up truck driver way. I was beyond pissed off. I told my uncle. Yes. I tattled to dad. And I have done it before and will do it again. I’ve spoken to her before and covered her little trips in the past but that was when she didn’t lie to me like she did.

Here’s my reasoning. If she got into an accident while she was out and didn’t have her phone or it didn’t work (say it was damaged in the accident) and we called the friend that supposedly took her, this friend would know nothing about said trip or where she was. How the hell would we be able to find her or get her the help she would need? It was highly irresponsible and disrespectful to pull a stunt like that with us when everything is done to make sure she is safe and that she isn’t hurt or she doesn’t hurt anyone with her accidents. Sure, the accidents were all isolated with parked cars, but who’s to say the next accident won’t be a person or a moving car?

Anyway, that’s my day there and I just really needed to get that stress out. So let’s move on to writing and reading…

I created an account on GoodReads for book reviews. I added the widget to the side panel of my completed books that I reviewed on that you can see on all pages of the site (except the main page because it has the pretty story pictures). Right now I reviewed on just one book but I haven’t been reading much because I’ve been so focused on writing but I do hope to read more in 2015. Do follow me on GoodReads! If you add me, there is a security question you must answer. I’ll give you a hint. He’s a sexy Arrow shooting actor who loves to say Fuck Cancer!

GH-CUTE

I have two stories updated this week! Whoot Whoot! Aren’t you lucky! I am still working hard on others, but the muses aren’t being very friendly, but it’s just life stress getting to me. Believe me, the ideas are flowing heavy.

mullenscreek

Mullen’s Creek had an update with Chapter 9. Things are heating up between Aracely and Jason. The small town is filled with so much drama, that maybe coming to live at home with the family wasn’t quite the best idea for Jason…hmm…

The other update… *drumroll please* the muchly anticipated story Revenge I has a new chapter available only on MeekoTales for this week only! Thursday or Friday I’ll post it to FFnet. So you can leave your review here, and then there *wink* if you so wish.

Revenge

Also – the final chapter to Gambling Hearts will be going up soon. I cannot say just how soon, but it will be coming. Buggy and I are accepting any questions you might have about the story, characters, whatever, that will be answered when that chapter goes up. We have received quite a bit over the course of the story and because of the universe we created in blending the two worlds together, we understand the confusion so we thought to handle it all in one shot for all. You can ask anything  and we’ll do our best to give you answers without revealing upcoming details. You can leave your questions on any chapter on the story on MeekoTales, over on her posting of the story on BuggyFiction, the story on FFnet, or in the Facebook group, The Crossover Twins.

Anyways…thank you all for being patient through my much needed therapy rant. Until next time…
