Summary: A Marine returning home from war works to reconnect his relationships with his friends and family after so many years away in the service. One of those includes that of his former lover, whom he learns is engaged to another man. While the relationship appears to be strained, it is clear both have very strong feelings for one another. Is it true? Can absence truly make the heart grow fonder?
Note: This story started as a collaboration with a friend but he had since decided to no longer continue on it after a parting of ways. I, however, have intentions of finishing the story.
